About Little Bear Woods
It's for everyone!
Little Bear Woods is a small, friendly outdoor woodland environment to encourage young children to respect, love and develop as they grow as learners.
It’s a place to free-think and self-learn, it’s a place for everyone.
At Little Bear Woods it is a place to discover your limits and to most importantly make memories to last a lifetime.
From identifying trees and story time around the wooden circle, to mud exploring, creating nature patterns and swinging in trees, there really is a world too many children aren’t discovering.
Who I am...
I am Kelly Berryman a primary school teacher and I’ve worked in schools for 7 years. I trained at Chichester University. I recently qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Leader, completed a First Aid Course and took part in outdoor Makaton signing.
I am a mum of two little ones and I know how much they love exploring outside!
My love for outdoor learning began when I chose to specialise in early years and I have continually used the environment to inspire young children.
What Little Bear Woods is all about...
Sessions are outdoors in the natural environment. They will be themed and have an element of structure, but mostly will be led by the child and where and how they want to encourage their own learning.
With the use of natural resources, puppets and books all linked to outdoors I encourage an experience that’s fun, exciting, eye-opening and engaging for all children.
Come and explore the adventure. I Hope you’ll join us as we get excited about the new Little Bear Woods!
