About Little Bear Woods

The Bear Adventure
We are a family based independent business based at Wattons Lane, Ringwood, BH242DG. Please be aware we are a forest so it’s best to follow Wattons Lane and find our signs. We have a large silver gate on the left.
Please book online before 10pm the night before coming along to a session.
Little Bear Woods is a small, friendly outdoor woodland environment to encourage young children to respect, love and develop as learners in nature.
It’s a place to think freely and self-learn. It is a place for everyone.
At Little Bear Woods you will discover your limits and most importantly make memories to last a lifetime. We have some wonderful reviews online and lots of pictures to see.
We range with so many activities. We identify trees and mushrooms, have story time under the parachute, explore the mud kitchen, create nature patterns, learn new tools safety and most importantly have a weekly campfire.
Come and see what we’re all about.
There is a world every child deserves to discover.

Big Bear
I am Kelly Berryman a primary school teacher and I’ve worked in schools for over 9 years. I trained at Chichester University and have been lucky to work with children at different ages and from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and needs.
I am qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Leader, First Aid Qualified and I have taken part in outdoor Makaton signing. I am also qualified to teach children’s yoga.
I have two little bears of my own and I know how much they love exploring outside. So eager to learn and asking plenty of questions!
My love for outdoor learning began when I chose to specialise in early years and I have continually used the environment to inspire young children. This is now my dream and I’m sure you’ll see my passion for outdoor learning when you come and visit us at Little Bear Woods.
We were lucky enough to add Rose to our team this year. Rose is always at her allotment growing the next bite to eat. Rose has two little bears of her own who also regularly come along to sessions. Rose has a degree in tool work and is friendly and approachable.

What We Do
Sessions are completely outdoors in the natural environment. We have a car park minutes away, an on site toilet and hand wash station. We also offer hot drinks to parents and children.
Sessions are themed and are different each week. They are child-led to make sessions and enjoyable as they can be for the parent and child.
With the use of natural resources and books all linked to outdoors I encourage an experience that’s fun, exciting, eye-opening and engaging for all children.
Come and discover the outdoor adventure. I Hope you’ll join us as we get excited about our wonderful woodland at Little Bear Woods!
