About Little Bear Woods

The Bear Adventure

Wild Bear Woods CIC is a small independant business, set in a friendly, outdoor woodland environment. We encourage young children to respect, love and develop as learners in nature.

It’s a place to think freely and self-learn. It is a place for everyone.

Come and see what we’re all about. There is a world every child deserves to discover.

Sessions are completely outdoors in the natural environment, appropriate weatherwear is needed. We have an on-site car park, toilet and hand wash station. We also offer hot drinks to parents and children.

Please book online before 9pm the night before coming along to a session.

How to find us:

We are located halfway down Wattons Lane (BH24 2DG), look for our silver gate and logo on the left (the postcode will not lead you directly to us).

Big Bear

I am Kelly Berryman a primary school teacher and I’ve worked in schools for over 9 years. I trained at Chichester University and have been lucky to work with children at different ages and from a variety of backgrounds, cultures and needs.

I am qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Leader,  First Aid Qualified and I have taken part in outdoor Makaton signing. I am also qualified to teach children’s yoga.

I have two little bears of my own and I know how much they love exploring outside. So eager to learn and asking plenty of questions!

My love for outdoor learning began when I chose to specialise in early years and I have continually used the environment to inspire young children. This is now my dream and I’m sure you’ll see my passion for outdoor learning when you come and visit us at Wild Bear Woods.

We are lucky to have a great team of experianced professionals working with us at Wild Bear Woods.

What We Do

At Wild Bear Woods you will discover your limits and most importantly make memories to last a lifetime. We have some wonderful reviews online and lots of pictures to see.

We have a wide range of activities. We identify trees and mushrooms, have story time under the parachute, explore the mud kitchen, create nature patterns, learn new tools safety and most importantly have campfire snacks.

Sessions are themed and varied  each week. They are child-led to make sessions as enjoyable as they can be, for the parent and child.

With the use of natural resources and books, all linked to outdoors, we encourage an experience that’s fun, exciting, eye-opening and engaging for all children.

Come and discover the outdoor adventure. We hope you’ll join us as we get excited about our wonderful woodland at Wild Bear Woods!
